COVID active case numbers have been like a roller–coaster over the last week in the Alpine Shire, getting to as low as 42, but on the back of the first week of school returning active cases have risen back over 100.
According to State Government data on Monday, the current number of active cases was 108, with 24 cases detected in the 24 hours to noon Monday.
'Reggie', the mobile vaccination bus from Albury Wodonga Health, was back in Mt Beauty last Friday, with 17 brave kids getting vaccinated.
Reggie will be at the Mount Beauty Neighborhood Centre this Friday for one last visit.
Walk–ins are available but it is recommended that you book by calling 1800 675 398.
Alpine Shire's rate of third dose COVID vaccinations is almost at 35 per cent, while the second dose is almost at 85 per cent.
Alpine Health's COVID vaccination clinic at the Alpine Community Health Centre in Bright is opened on Mondays, the clinic at Myrtleford Hospital Multi–Purpose Room is opened Tuesdays, and the clinic at the Lakeside Community Centre in Mt Beauty is opened Wednesdays.
They are all available by appointment only due to the limited space and demand for vaccines.
If you have symptoms of COVID, Alpine Health testing clinics are still open from 9am–3pm at Mt Beauty Hospital on Monday to Saturday and at Bright Hospital on Monday to Friday, while Myrtleford Hospital is open on Wednesday to Sunday.
You can make a booking for the Alpine Community COVID–19 vaccination clinics by calling the COVID–19 hotline on 1800 675 398.
