ACTIVE COVID cases in the Alpine Shire are continuing to drop while vaccination rates continue to rise.
The shire had eight new COVID cases detected in the 24 hours to Monday, with total active cases dropping 29 per cent on the previous week to just 41, according to the Victorian Government's Coronavirus data.
Alpine Health's COVID vaccination clinics are still operating, but on reduced times of an hour due to the decreased demand of PCR tests and the increased ability to obtain RAT kits.
The Bright clinic at the Alpine Community Health Centre is open on Mondays, Mt Beauty's clinic at the Lakeside Community Centre opened on Tuesdays, and Myrtleford clinic at the Myrtleford Hospital Multi–Purpose Room on Wednesdays.
Vaccinations are now available by via walk–ins with the demand for vaccines being reduced due to the high percentage of people being vaccinated.
If you have symptoms of COVID, Alpine Health PCR testing clinics are still open from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at Mt Beauty Hospital, Bright Hospital and Myrtleford Hospital on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Albury–Wodonga Health will be operating a Children's Vaccination Clinic at the Mt Beauty Community Centre each Friday from March 20 to April 10 from 10am to 2pm.
Another outreach clinic by Albury–Wodonga Health will be held in Myrtleford tomorrow from 2pm–5pm.
