THE Bright Tennis Club's Tuesday pennant competition is ramping up towards its final round,

Last Tuesday, November 27, Team Peppermint took on Team Redgum with Redgum winning the tie 6–0.

Jody Vlahandreas and Simon Lodge lost to David Chlebna and Ian Ellen 3–6, Caroline Michie and Cat Brooks lost to Michelle Yarwood and Charlotte Paton 1–6, and Vlahandreas and Michie were defeated by Chlebna and Yarwood 1–6.

Lodge and Brooks lost narrowly to Ellen and Paton 5–6, Vlahandreas and Brooks lost to Chlebna and Paton 2–6, and Lodge and Michie were defeated by Ellen and Yarwood 1–6.

Team Stringy Bark took on Candle Bark with Stringy Bark winning the tie four sets to two.

Craig Thompson and Dene Freeland defeated Stuart Robinson and Lauren Bartlett 6–3, Harry Pearce and Kellie McConochie were defeated by Nathan Fenton and Alex Robinson 4–6, and Thompson and Pearce won over Robinson and Fenton 6–2.

Freeland and McConochie defeated Bartlett and Robinson 6–2, Thompson and McConochie lost to Robinson and Robinson 1–6, and Freeland and Pearce won over Bartlett and Fenton 6–1.

Another great night of tennis at Bright Tennis Club was played on Tuesday, December 6.

Candle Bark had some super subs filling in and took home the win six sets to none against team Peppermint.

Darren Ferrier and Rod McCracken lost to Stuart Robinson and Dene Freeland 2–6, Simon Lodge and Bruno Souza were defeated by Michael Querk and Lauren Bartlett 1–6, and Ferrier and Lodge lost to Robinson and Querk 3–6.

McCracken and Souza were defeated by Freeland and Bartlett 5–6, Ferrier and Souza lost to Robinson and Bartlett 4–6, and McCracken and Lodge lost to Freeland and Querk 4–6.

In other games, team Redgum took on Snowgum with Redgum winning the tie four sets to two.

David Chlebna and Ian Ellen defeated Craig Thompson and Chris Pangrazzo 6–3, Michelle Yarwood and Charlotte Paton beat Will Pearce and Caroline Michie 5–6, and Chlebna and Yarwood defeated Thompson and Pearce 6–3.

Ellen and Paton lost to Pangrazzo and Michie 4–6, Chlebna and Paton trounced Thompson and Michie 6–1, Ellen and Yarwood defeated Pangrazzo and Pearce 6–3.

With one round to go the ladder reads: Redgum 32, Snowgum 25, Candle Bark 22, Stringy Bark 21, Peppermint 20.
