THE warm weather meant the Bright Tennis Club were able to get on the court and continue their Tuesday night pennant competition.

Team Peppermint took on Team Redgum with Redgum winning the tie 6–0.

Jody Vlahandreas and Simon Lodge lost to David Chlebna and Ian Ellen 3–6, Caroline Michie and Cat Brooks lost to Michelle Yarwood and Charlotte Paton 1–6, and Vlahandreas and Michie were defeated by Chlebna and Yarwood 1–6.

Lodge and Brooks lost narrowly to Ellen and Paton 5–6, Vlahandreas and Brooks lost to Chlebna and Paton 2–6, and Lodge and Michie were defeated by Ellen and Yarwood 1–6.

Team Stringy Bark took on Candle Bark with Stringy Bark winning the tie four sets to two.

Craig Thompson and Dene Freeland defeated Stuart Robinson and Lauren Bartlett 6–3, Harry Pearce and Kellie McConochie were defeated by Nathan Fenton and Alex Robinson 4–6, and Thompson and Pearce won over Robinson and Fenton 6–2.

Freeland and McConochie defeated Bartlett and Robinson 6–2, Thompson and McConochie lost to Robinson and Robinson 1–6, and Freeland and Pearce won over Bartlett and Fenton 6–1.

After eight rounds of competition, the ladder is: Redgum 27, Snowgum 23, Stringy Bark 21, Peppermint 20, Candle Bark 16.
