MYRTLEFORD Swim Club had 15 swimmers compete in the Victorian Country All Junior Competition in Melbourne on the weekend.

Swimmers qualified for the competition by finishing in the top eight during the Ovens and Murray qualifying heats in February.

Every Myrtleford swimmer recorded a personal best in at least one of their events on the weekend, which was a fantastic effort, with five swimmers qualifying for the top 10 finals.

The club had two swimmers medal in the finals – Mia McGuffie won gold in the 8 and under 50m breaststroke, and silver in the 8 and under 50m butterfly and freestyle, while Milla Corcoran won bronze in the 11 and under 50m butterfly.

It was a fantastic representation from a small country club.

The Myrtleford Swim Club's season comes to an end this Friday, March 24, and with the club's presentation night set for that night.
