BRIGHT COUNTRY GOLF CLUB
ANOTHER week, another series of results from the Bright Country Golf Club.
Monday, Veteran’s all gender competition, February 3.
This week the organiser tossed a stroke competition into the mix - this could have been why the numbers were lower than usual.
Only 13 players fronted up, and one player decided that it was all too much, and retired after nine holes.
It’s not known if he had a medical episode, or just thought “Stuff it, I’ve had enough of the heat, and I don’t need to torment myself anymore.”
Of those hardy souls who did finish their rounds, the winners and grinners are as follows: Jenny Richter, 18 H/C nett 68, next was Mick Dunne playing off 16 H/C nett 70.
Ball winners: John Williams nett 71, Graham Barrow nett 72, Robert Taylor nett 73, Ian Browne net 74 C/B.

The Bright Golf Guru golf fact of the week: the average golfer has a 1:12,500 chance of having a hole in one each time they stand on the tee at a par three, but those odds are better than winning the lottery.
