TEAM Code Blue, which is comprised of local police members, will be running again in the Wangaratta Chronicle Marathon and Fun Run on March 17.

Team captain, Chloe Morris, said this is the team’s second time participating after having a great experience last year.

“The course is very accommodating for all levels of fitness, everyone in our team completed their runs of 5km to 10km and hopefully we will have one of the guys participating in the half marathon this year,” she said.

“We had a fantastic time last year, it’s an excellent, well run event that we love to be a part of.”

All team members from last year are competing again.

“We love doing it because as police members it’s great to be part of and integrate with the community to show that we’re normal fun people too,” Ms Morris said.

She said they are currently welcoming any new runners to join their team this year.

“We’ve got about six members nominated at the moment, but any members of the community are welcome to join and be part of our team,” she said.
