YEAR 12 students across the Alpine Shire are set to celebrate their final days of classes this week before preparing to sit their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) exams.

Students at Marian College enjoyed a Dress Up Day on Monday and Tuesday and have an assembly at 10am before morning tea at 11:10am today.

To cap off the day, the Year 12s will have a Graduation Dinner at the Savoy Club at 7:15pm.

Year 12 students at Myrtleford P-12 College will also have their last day of school today.

Their final days of formally being secondary school students was commemorated with a series of dress up days, a farewell celebratory assembly with the whole school and a catered student and staff lunch.

Bright P12 Year 12 coordinator Darren Ferrier said students will finish tomorrow, with about 26 year 12 students to sit exams.

“I’ve noticed a range of emotions but they’re putting on more smiles now, especially with the dress up themes throughout this week," he said.

“The vast majority are into a good routine of studying, knuckling down and being very diligent with the first exam next Tuesday.

“Our advice to the students has been to look after yourself, get good rest, a good diet and a good routine.

“We’re very proud of our entire cohort of students and know they’ll find success in whatever avenue they take in life.

“They’re a great bunch of kids.”

Mt Beauty Secondary College principal Simone Roy said Monday had been year 12 students' official last day of school, with classes in the morning, a whole school assembly in the afternoon, and then their Transition Evening barbecue.

Students had a 'Celebration Morning' yesterday on the oval, and a morning tea hosted by staff.

Students completing their VCE this year, started their Performance and LOTE Oral exams on Monday, October 7.

The remaining written exam period for all students is between Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, November 20.

VCE results for all students will be released on Tuesday, December 12.
