A LARGE–scale search for a man missing from Dinner Plains since Friday is continuing this morning.
Police said the 70–year–old known as 'Christos' was last seen at 2:45pm on Big Muster Drive, reportedly going for a walk to see emus spotted in the area.
Victoria Police, including members from the mounted branch, search and rescue, airwing and local members alongside SES, Parks Victoria and other local volunteers were into their fifth day of searching yesterday.
Christos was last seen wearing a long sleeve top, jumper, pants and crocs.
Christos's children said they were devastated knowing their father was missing.
"Our dad is a kind and loving person, a lover of nature, with an adventurous spirit," they said in a statement.
"He is a grandfather to four beautiful granddaughters and we know he would love to see them again.
"He is adored by his children, wife, family and friends and everyone else who knows him.
"We are all praying that his strong and resilient nature will find his way back to us.
"We would like to thank the local community, Victoria Police and everyone else involved for their ongoing pursuits to help find Christos."
Police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 000 or the Wangaratta Police Station on 5723 0888.
