ACTIVE COVID cases in the Alpine Shire have stayed in double digits after only eight new COVID cases were detected on Monday.
These recent cases bring the total active cases in the shire to 47, which is a decrease of 18 cases from the previous week, according to the Victorian Government's Coronavirus data.
With a majority of the region having their second or third dose of the COVID–19 vaccine, Alpine Health has ceased doing PCR tests – they can still be done at the drive–thru centre off Vincent Road in Wangaratta.
For those still wanting to get the COVID–19 vaccine Albury Wodonga Health will be doing outreach services in Bright on Thursday, July 28 and in Myrtleford on Tuesday, August 2.
