ACTIVE COVID cases have dropped massively in the Alpine Shire over the past week.

Eleven new COVID cases were detected on Monday, with the total number of active cases in the shire declining by 41 per cent to 99 cases from the previous week's 169, according to the Victorian Government's Coronavirus data.

If you have symptoms of COVID, Alpine Health PCR testing clinics are still open from 2.30pm–3.30pm at Mt Beauty Hospital on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Bright and Myrtleford Hospital clinics will be testing from 7.30am to 8.30am due to increased demand for testing.
