ACTIVE COVID cases have dropped significantly in the past week, with cases going below 100 in the Alpine Shire for the first time in two weeks.

Some 19 new COVID cases were detected in the 24 hours to Monday, with total active cases in the shire declining to 95 cases from the previous week's 101 according to the Victorian Government's Coronavirus data.

Alpine Health has completed its COVID vaccination clinics with the final jab being delivered last Wednesday.

If you have symptoms of COVID, Alpine Health PCR testing clinics are still open from 2.30pm–3.30pm at Mt Beauty Hospital on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Bright and Myrtleford Hospital clinics will be testing from 7.30am–8.30am due to increased demand for testing.

Albury Wodonga Health will be running a vaccination clinic at the Alpine Community Health Centre today from 1:30pm–4pm.
