COVID active cases have remained under triple digits in the Alpine Shire for the second straight week.

Current active cases as on Monday this week were 75 according to the Victorian Government's Coronavirus data, which was down 10 per cent on the previous week.

There were eight new cases detected on Monday.

An outreach COVID–19 vaccine clinic is being held today at the Bright Community Centre from 9am to 2.30pm.

Bookings are available for adult Pfizer doses with walk–ins allowed for 5–11 year olds.

Alpine Shire's third dose of vaccinations is at almost 50 per cent, while second dose numbers are still sitting at 85 per cent, but this number is expected to rise with Novavax starting to hit the clinics.

Alpine Health's COVID vaccination clinics are still operating.

The Bright clinic is at the Alpine Community Health Centre on Mondays; the Myrtleford clinic is at the Myrtleford Hospital Multi–Purpose Room on Tuesdays; and the Mt Beauty clinic is at the Lakeside Community Centre on Wednesdays.

Vaccinations are only available by appointment due to the limited space and demand for vaccines.

If you have symptoms of COVID, Alpine Health testing clinics are still open from 9am–3pm, at Mt Beauty Hospital Monday to Saturday and Bright Hospital on Monday to Friday, while Myrtleford Hospital is open on Wednesday to Sunday.

You can make a booking for the Alpine Community COVID–19 Vaccination Clinics by calling the COVID–19 hotline on 1800 675 398.
