Saturday, January 4, all gender stroke, and for the men, Monthly Medal.
A group of 68 players teed off in the first men’s Monthly Medal, and the field also contained three ladies, two of whom placed in the top seven overall.
However, two of the men are still missing in action somewhere on the course - maybe they took the opportunity to have a quick swim in the Ovens River and decided that was a better option than continuing their round of golf.
Out of the 68 players, an astounding 23 players played to their handicaps, or under, the results are as follows.
Nick Aliozos (the club’s captain) played the game of his life and returned an astonishing eight under his handicap, 24 H/C for a nett 64 C/B.
