Monday, November 18, Veteran’s all gender Stableford golf competition.

The field was comparatively small on Monday due to the Bright golfers who make the annual trek over to Yarrawonga Golf Club for their ‘big golfing getaway’ and the remainder playing at Myrtleford in the North-East Veteran’s competition.

The rest, the real golfers of Bright played, and the results were as follows.

Winner: Mark ‘Frosty’ Frost, 18 H/C 35 points. Ball winners: Graham Badrock H/C 17, 33 points; Colin Richardson, 26 H/C 32 points C/B.

A total of 33 players teed off and to everyone’s surprise, Paul Duff finally found some form.

MOUNT BEAUTY GOLF CLUB

THE ladies played 18 holes on Wednesday, November 20 when Ruth Rynehart, 38 points, defeated Liz Harvey with 37 points.

NTP second shot on the seventh was Liz Harvey.

The men played the front nine on the Wednesday when Ben Ritson scored a massive 27 points to win the comp from Dave Etherton with 23 points, 21 points from both Tom Docherty and Peter Hertzog, who took home a ball each.

NTP on the seventh was Al Retallick, while Dave Etherton was closest on the ninth.

Saturday, November 23 saw eight pairs battle out the Honour Board Event of Mixed Foursomes over the 18 holes.

Victorious, by a mile, was Carol Bartholomew and Trevor English with a net 62, followed in by Liz Harvey and Stephen Short with their 71 net.

Helen Whittaker and Dave Browning were next with their net 71.5.

Meanwhile, those men who missed out on a partner in the Mixed Comp played an 18-hole Stableford, won by Dave Etherton with 40 points from Peter Hertzog 39 points.

David Drew and Sam Perry also went home with balls for their 37 points each.

NTP on the seventh, along with the Tatts Ticket from the Tawonga South Newsagency & Post Office, was Tristan Skitt.

Peter Hertzog got closest on the ninth, Stuart Cariss on the 17th, and David Drew took home the money on the 18th.

The weekend before, Ross Rynehart scored himself an Eagle on the Par 4 13th.
