MT HOTHAM Resort Management Board (RMB) is seeking Expressions of Interest for commercial operations located at the new Hotham Hub Snowplay and Activity facility located at Wire Plain, scheduled to commence construction after winter 2022.
The resort is currently working to match Hotham's world–class natural assets with high quality public infrastructure and visitor experiences.
This includes the transformation of the Hotham village, the highest of its kind in Australia.
Visitor facility developments with a combined value of $18 million are currently underway in the resort, designed to position Mt Hotham for long–term strategic growth.
Key projects currently under way include the Alpine Gateway Car Park and Visitor Centre, Hotham Hub Snowplay and Activity facility, the Hotham Precinct Development, and placemaking works to lift the look and feel of the village.

The Mt Hotham RMB said these critical developments respond to increasing demand from existing and emerging markets, and signal the start of a new phase of growth and revitalisation for the resort.
As such, the resort is inviting expressions of interest from commercial operators in any or all of the categories of retail, hospitality and snowplay (winter)/outdoor (summer) activities.
Mt Hotham RMB believes this is an exciting opportunity to help activate this area year round, building on (but not limited to) the activities already located in this area: snow play, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and cycling.
"Interested parties have a unique opportunity to shape this new revitalised activity hub with the RMB and therefore there are no evaluation criteria for this EOI...the RMB will consider all reasonable proposals," an RMB spokesperson said.
Funding has been secured for the construction of the venue, which is due to commence after winter 2022.
