Holidaygoers cool off in Bright

THE hot January weather has attracted many to the junction of Morses Creek and the Ovens River to cool down, with many kids playing in the splash park last Wednesday.

"It's been cracking weather," Melbourne resident Joel Crowther said, who was sitting in the shade with his Maltese cross dog named Bear.

"My kids and wife are over there somewhere having a ball."

Mornington Peninsula residents Renee and Lachlan Grant were in Bright for the third year in a row, for a week with friends and their children.

"We thoroughly enjoy spending our days floating down the river," Renee said.
