LESS than a year after seriously pursuing her dream career as a model, Bright teen Cydney Kozuharoff has been signed to a Melbourne-based agency and will be walking bigger runways than ever.
The 17 year old is following in her mother’s footsteps, who used to model in her youth, and hopes to be the next Bella Hadid.
“It was very exciting to be scouted by an agency, it really feels like I can achieve bigger things now and reach my dream,” she said.
“The agency saw me walk in Top Model Australia last October and by September they’d reached out and I’ve been with them ever since.
“I’m really excited for the opportunities it will bring, as well as working with all the great people involved and creating friendships.

“It will definitely be bigger opportunities than I had while freelancing and it just feels more secure that I have representation now.
“I was in Melbourne three weeks ago getting my headshot portfolio completed, which was a really quick and easy process, I’ll take that to all my castings.
“The agency will respond to callouts and castings that are asking for someone that fits my description, and then I’ll travel to Melbourne to walk for the company or brand and then they decide if they want me.”
Cydney will be heading back to Melbourne next week for multiple castings for Melbourne Fashion Week, which she said was a big goal for her.
“I walked twice on the first day of Melbourne Fashion Week last year which was pretty amazing for me,” she said.
“This year it will be different though; I’ll be doing castings for much bigger brands and potentially getting the chance to walk in runways every single day of fashion week.
“It’s been working well to travel when I need to at the moment which is great and I’m super grateful to both my parents for supporting me with that.
“I will eventually have to move to support my dreams.
“I just love everything about modelling, especially watching back the runways you’ve done makes me feel really proud.
“I just really want to be like Bella Hadid, I want to be able to do everything she does.
“I also would love to work with Cotton On, that would be a goal for sure.”
Cydney’s advice for other aspiring models is to simply, keep going.
“Just go for it,” she said.
“Sign up for everything you can and don’t stop if you don’t get picked.
“You have to keep trying and keep showing them you can do it.”
