What are you doing in the area?
We came from Sydney to share Christmas with our extended family. We first came to the valley a while ago and loved it so much we purchased a beautiful chestnut farm and made it our home for 11 years. We love returning to this beautiful valley to visit family and catch up with friends.
What do you like about the area?
The area is such a nice place with the river, the pool, cafes and shops all within walking distance. With a focus on all things sport, there is always an interesting conversation and perspective to be enjoyed. The valley and the Alpine areas are breathtaking .
What have been the highlights of your visit?
Latest Stories
Everyday , swimming in the river with the puppies in the soft evening light. An early morning swim in the pool. Freeing two young magpies unable to fly due to being tangled together in some twine, all while Mum magpie looked on. Spending a day in the high plains standing on Mt McKay while the weather changed from sunny to mist and storm clouds all within six minutes. Having the local mailman make me a coffee in his caravan.
What are your hobbies and interests?
As a recent retiree I’m still working on what this chapter will look like, but for now trying new things, meeting new and interesting people. Living.
