How long have you lived in the area?
27 years.
What do you do for a living?
I’m an artist and maintenance gardener.
How did you get into that?
When I had small children, I could go off and do a couple of hours a week while they were in childcare. That was mainly the gardening and I've only just got into the art.
What are your hobbies or interests?
My hobbies are painting, mosaics and bushwalking. I really enjoy the environment and the bush - it's my favorite place.
What do you like about the area?
The rivers, the mountains and the fact that we can just hop over the mountain and we can go to the sea. It’s only four hours, which I think is a hop, skip and a jump really. So we've got the best of everything.
Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?
The Myrtleford Mosaic Trail and definitely Lake Buffalo. People forget the view behind Buffalo is just as beautiful as the view at the front.
Is there anything you would change about the area?
Probably something a little bit more for the teenagers. I don't know what that would be, but I think older teenagers, say 13 to 17, need something. Maybe Frisbee tennis – a dog park would be great.
