How long have you lived in the area?

I have only lived in Bright for a couple of months, moving to the area with my fiancé in May 2021. We moved here from Maryborough, about four hours away.

What do you do?

I am very fortunate to be able to continue working remotely for ASTERIA Services, a disability service provider back in Maryborough. I currently work as part of the intake/customer service team. It is a complex but very rewarding role. The families and people you meet are incredible humans.

What are your hobbies and interests?

All things netball; playing, coaching, watching, I love it. I like getting outdoors for a walk or a short mountain bike ride to rip a skid. I love to cook and have been known for my baking amongst my family and friends. I also like to knit. I have my nan to thank for my baking and knitting skills, she is always teaching me new things.

What do you like about the area?

I love how beautiful it is all year round, with each season bringing something different. I love how small the town is and the sense of community, everyone we have met so far have been so friendly. I also really like how local businesses keep it local here, the local produce on offer is unbelievable.

Where would you take visitors coming here?

I feel like I never have enough time to show visitors everything I love about the area. I would take them to sixpence for a morning coffee and an almond croissant, followed by one of the local walks around town. You can't go wrong with a drive up to Mystic, Mount Buffalo or Clear Spot, as the views are breathtaking. I would finish with grabbing dinner at T...
