Aaryn Capocasa – Myrtleford

How long have you lived in the area?

About four years.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Growing plants, succulents specifically, and walking. I also like mosaicking and craft. There's a couple of ladies in town that teach mosaics and they put mosaics all over – that's one of the main things I love about Myrtleford. I also enjoy cooking and eating out in the beautiful restaurants.

What do you like about the area?

I love it that it's near the snow resorts and it's cooler in summer. In autumn the colours are absolutely beautiful everywhere.

Where would you take visitors to show case the area?

My Italian family comes up every year to collect walnuts and chestnuts and I take them around for a drive. I take them to Stanley for chestnuts and we got apples one year, we had to pick them ourselves – that was fun. I've taken them to Bright and on the way there are some nut growers that do hazelnuts and that's always exciting. It's just so nice to go to the farm and collect these things.

Is there anything you would change about the area?

Probably not. I think it's pretty close to perfect, to be honest.
