A woodcutter’s light – almost cuts his right foot in half

A SERIOUS accident happened to a young man named Charles Weinart, a woodcutter, residing at Wandiligong, on Tuesday morning.

He was engaged cutting firewood on the western range of Morse's Creek, almost opposite Mr. P. Dunphy's shop, when in making a blow at a log his axe slipped, striking the right foot and almost dividing it from the toes to the ankle.
