Bright grabs Gazza

FORMER AFL mark of the year winner Gary Moorcroft says he will be doing everything he can to help Bright avenge this year’s grand final defeat after putting off retirement to sign with the Mountain Men.

Moorcroft, best known for his stunning mark over Western Bulldogs’ Brad Johnson in 2001, officially joined Bright last Wednesday after spending the past nine seasons with Bundoora in the Northern Football League.

The 43-year-old, who played 98 games for Essendon and Melbourne, including the Bombers’ 2000 premiership, kicking 102 goals, had initially planned to retire after 28 years of senior football.
