THE Kangaroo Hoppet international ski marathon scheduled at Falls Creek on Saturday, August 24, has been cancelled.
Organisers announced the heartbreaking decision last Thursday.
The event has been run by the Mt Beauty/Falls Creek-based Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club as Australia's biggest international cross country race on the fourth Saturday in August for more than 30 years.
