VIRTUAL deer fencing is proving successful to reduce the risk to motorists near Harrietville as part of a joint program between the Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) and Regional Roads Victoria (RRV).
The virtual fence, which has been installed along The Great Alpine Road, is activated by car headlights to deter deer and other native wildlife from crossing roads at night.
