THE Wangaratta and District Cricket Association's opening round may be over before it even started.
With rain pounding the North East over the past month, ground curators have found it hard to get pitches up and running for Saturday's round one.
Barr Reserve, Benalla Gardens Oval and Stan Hargreaves Oval (Yarrawonga) are the only three grounds to have pitches prepared.
