Community members are invited to three additional drop-in sessions next week to help shape Alpine Shire's Rural Directions Strategy.
Alpine Shire Council is developing the strategy, which will investigate and provide strategic direction and guidance for rural land use, including a consistent approach to planning assessments and decision making.
Community members were invited to contribute to the development of the strategy in May 2025 via a series of three in-person workshops and one online workshop.
Council is now encouraging rural landowners and users, as well as other community members, to attend additional drop-in sessions with members of council's strategic planning team next week.
These drop-in sessions will take place in Harrietville, Tawonga and Wandiligong, with the aim to understand the rural issues faced by locals living and working in these smaller towns and surrounding areas.
