Mt Beauty Music Festival proves a hit

STRONG crowd numbers came out to enjoy the beautiful weather and great atmosphere at the annual Mt Beauty Music Festival over the Anzac Day weekend.

Locals and visitors alike enjoyed the two–day festival at the Les Peart Oval, eating, drinking and catching up while enjoying the live music on offer.

Music festival coordinator Jocelyn Ceccanti said the festival was a hit with people turning out on both days listening to artists from across the North East.

"There was a selection of live music on the truck stage with Chloe Jade, Gretta Ziller and Well into Winter, before a last–minute act from Dylan Cosgriff took the stage on Saturday morning to promote his new album," she said.

Sunday saw the return of the popular 'Who's Got Talent' competition where five people took the stage to take home a Velencia guitar from Mega Music Wodonga.

"The show featured a mother of two who was the favourite, but a duo from Melbourne won the crowd over and won the guitar," Ms Ceccanti said.

"The crowd loved the talent on offer, it was a big hit!

"We had a bunch of kids coming up to show us some gymnastics moves, and some also told jokes."

The Tow and Show had more than 60 cars filling the Les Peart Oval, lining up to display their pride and joys in different categories from pre 1955 to American muscle car.

"Cooper Capilieralli brought his racing car down, and we had a great bunch of vehicles on display," Ms Ceccanti said.
