Rural CFA cash boost

MILAWA Fire Brigade is set to receive almost $200,000 in state funding, as part of a major coup for the region's emergency services providers.

Minister for Emergency Services Jaclyn Symes announced the funding yesterday, which will see more than 300 volunteer emergency groups around the state receive a share of more than $14 million.

Milawa walked away as major winners, receiving $195,000 to fund a new light tanker to support their efforts ahead of the upcoming fire season, while Moyhu Brigade Group will also receive $36,552 for a new...
