How long have you lived in the area?

I was born and bred in the area. I am a sixth generation local, and have never had the desire to leave the beautiful area that I live in.

What do you do?

Currently work in the aged care sector with Alpine Health, as part of the essential services team.

What are your hobbies and interests?

As a child and a teenager I loved horse riding, but health issues have restricted me from doing that now. My hobbies include scrapbooking, reading, spending time with family and friends. Taking walks with my dogs. And most of all I love to be able to get away and go camping.

What do you like about the area?

I love the beauty of our area, the hills, the beautiful rivers and walks. We have so many areas that can be explored. The variety of activities that are on offer is amazing. The high country is a stunning part of the area to spend time in and explore.

Where would you take visitors coming here?

A few years ago, one of my father’s relatives came to Australia to spend time with family and spent a few days with myself and my partner. One of the day trips that we did was to Dargo Pub. We had a couple of drinks and a good old fashioned pub meal. I love old pubs, and what a way to show visitors some of our heritage, within our town and surrounding a...
