TWO speedsters have had their vehicles impounded by local officers as holidaymakers flocked to the region over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

Local police were deployed throughout the region's major thoroughfares over the four–day statewide Operation Regal, in an effort to curb risk–taking and dangerous behaviour around the gateway to the state's alpine region.
