The Power dismissed the Miners for just 91 inside of 23 overs in the one-day contest at Barnawartha before cruising to 4/92.

Recruit Jake Styles (4/25) was the star with the ball knocking over the stumps of all four of his victims while Daniel Saville (3/18) and Anthony Brewergray (2/11) also grabbed multiple wickets.

With the bat Chris Hocking (23), Luke Jones (22) and Damien Jenvey (21 not out) helped guide the Power home in 26.3 overs.

Mt Beauty captain Al Randell said it was an impressive first up showing by his side.

“It’s always good to win the first one, especially down there,” Randell said.
