Stallholders queue up

PRODUCERS are queuing up to be part of Myrtleford first accredited farmers’ market.

North East Media understands as many as 20 stalls are already booked for the TAFCO-inspired market in the Myrtleford Piazza in late September.

Mountain trout, bread, nuts and fruit are already being promoted through the Facebook page.

TAFCO chairman Allan McGuffie said they were right on track for the first market.

“Local producers have embraced the Victorian Farmers’ Market Association’s accreditation to ensure that no re-sellers or re-packagers are allowed,” he said.

“The community will be able to speak directly with the producer at the Myrtleford Farmers’ Market.”
