A STRONG final quarter has propelled Bright to a 33-point win over King Valley at Whitfield.
In what was a tight contest for three quarters the Mountain Men pulled away in the final term, kicking four goals and holding the Roos goalless to win 15.6 (96) to 9.9 (63).
Although Bright led at every change the home side never made it easy for the visitors as both teams looked for their second win of the season.
The Mountain Men started strong with a five goal first term, opening up an 11 point lead which remained the same at the main break.
At three quarter time Bright’s advantage was just eight points but the home side could have very easily been in front had they converted more accurately in front of goal, as Bright did.
To that stage in the match King Valley had registered more scoring shots at 16-13.
