PRIMARY students from Bright, Porepunkah, Wandiligong, and Myrtleford’s P12 College and St Mary’s had plenty of fun at McNamara Reserve last Wednesday.

Students from the five schools met for the second of three interschool sports days for football and netball.

Playing each other in round robin matches, organiser and Myrtleford P12 College sports coordinator Sharon Antonello said the days were all about the kids getting involved and being active.

“A lot of the kids haven’t played football or netball so it introduces them to the sports,” she said.

“It’s not about winning or losing it’s about making it fun for everyone.

“If schools are short of players the other team will give them some help to level things out and that way everyone gets a go.”
