Finals on agenda

BRIGHT will look to secure a place in the Wangaratta and District cricket B grade one day final with a win over Rutherglen this weekend as the second half of the 2014-15 season resumes.

The Wanderers are currently undefeated in the one day competition along with Yarrawonga Mulwala Rams but sit just ahead of their opponents on the points table.

“It has proved to be our format so far this season so hopefully we can get the win and earn a place in the final,” captain Dylan Bursill said.

“Coming in to the season we didn’t have too many expectations on what we could do, so making the final will be a good achievement.”

Despite the focus on the limited overs format this week, that will quickly change as the remainder of the season switches to two day games, something Bursill said his team is looking forward to.
