MYRTLEFORD utility Mitch Dalbosco is a contender for Ovens and Murray Football League’s Rising Star award on Monday night.
The 19-year-old was nominated for the award after a stellar performance against Corowa Rutherglen in round 14.
The former Bright junior is playing his first full season with the Saints after completing his run with Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup last year.
His consistent season has earned him the praise of Saints coach Leigh Corcoran.
“Mitch has played every game with us this season, and for a bloke his age has been leading the midfield group up there with Heighty (Kristan Height) and Brad (Murray),” he said.
“He has had a breakout year after being in and out of the side last year with Bushrangers commitments and hurting his hand.
