New Skoolbag App makes communication easier for parents to stay in touch

MOVING WITH THE TIMES: Bright P12 College parents are thrilled with the introduction of the new Skoolbag App.

BRIGHT P12 College recently introduced a new and effective way of communicating with families.

The Skoolbag App allows the college to let parents and the community know what is happening in and around the school in a timely and convenient manner.

Bright P12 College student administration officer Sally Cocks, together with parent Mark Ditcham got the college’s app up and running.

“A lot of schools are using the Skoolbag App and I had a look at how some other schools were using the app and then we created our version,” Ms Cocks said.

“The app can be downloaded for free from the app store, and it gives families the choice to receive notifications which are relevant to their children’s year levels.

Ms Cocks said push notifications can advise and remind families about events and excursions and parents can send notification of their children’s absences as well as obtaining general information at their fingertips.
